Why does the Caponord have a ‘fan-on’ temperature of 106c set in the mapping by Aprilia, when the fully faired (and higher tuned) RST Futura has a cooler 97c switching temp?
If you know the answer, then you know more than me! But about 9 months ago I decided to lower the Capo switching temperature to the Futura set-point of 97c. Using TuneECU this is a simple 5 minute job.
Conclusion – a happier running engine when heat-soaked in stop/start traffic and a happier clutch as well. There have been NO downsides to this simple modification.
